Max Loves Being Outside...

I just can't wait until we can move into a house - rent or buy!! Why do I say this? Well because Max absolutely LOVES to be outside. He has managed to start jumping up on top of the couch and he loves to sit there and stare out the window at people, or just the trees etc. It really is cute... He also continually asks us to open the sliding door to go onto the balcony by ringing his bells...

Monday was a public holiday (Presidents Day), so we took Max on a walk around the block (a BIG block), so he got some time outside and exercise, he always loves our walks. I then decided to take him to a school nearby so that he could run around without running onto the road etc. There is a baseball field with a lot of grass space and fencing around it with a few openings, but the space is big enough to throw a ball with him. He enjoyed it so much :)

Here are a few pics and a video I took...

Running to me - I love it!! :)

The bestest buddy in the whole world!!

Will load the video as soon as I can figure out how to do it :)

Pasta ala Turk and Malva Pudding...

Last night I decided to make a Pasta dish, it doesn't really have a name, so I just ended up calling is Pasta ala Turk, I don't know why but ya, it works for me! LOL... It was okay, didn't taste the same as the one I had tasted prior to making this. Next time I'm going to use less Pasta Bows and less Sun Dried Tomatoes and also cut them up into smaller pieces, they were pretty overwhelming. Why I'm not sure, because they weren't in the dish I tasted... Anyways it was good... Dustin just didn't eat the peas - LOL...

... Ingredients

... All mixed up

... Plated

I also had this marvelous idea to make some Malva Pudding... I had never made it myself before and also hadn't had it in ages... It's a nice recipe because you basically have the ingredients in your pantry already and so don't need to go out and get special ingredients... It is SO super easy to make and so freaking yummy!! It was a HUGE hit with Dustin so that was good :) I didn't make any custard, but we had ice-cream, so Dustin had it with ice-cream... Definitely will make this again...

... Baked

... Sauce heating up on the stove

... Sauce poured over and soaking into the pudding

An Attempt To Make Chicken and Dumplings...

A few days after I made Hawaiian Chicken I decided to try and make a dish that I hear about often... Chicken and Dumplings... I had never made it before and the recipe looked pretty easy, it was also a recipe to make it in a Crock Pot so that was a plus in my eyes too :)

So I tried my hand at it and it came out okay, the dumplings were pretty doughy though, so I'll be making the dumplings from hand next time and not using the refrigerated ones like the recipe calls for... I didn't get a pic of it cooked or plated as I ran out of time, I went to babysit the kids and didn't watch my time properly! Oops! Lol...

... All the ingredients

... Almost cooked, and dumplings just added

As I mentioned before, it was easy and it tasted good, but the only change I would make is too have more pieces of chicken and make more liquid. Also to make the dumplings from scratch :)

Hawaiian Chicken Dish...

This is a late post (once again), but at the beginning of the month I remembered I had brought a few packet sauces from home, and decided to try and make the Hawaiian Chicken, I had never had it before, so this was really the first time I as trying it.

It turned out well and really delicious! Probably going to be one of my favorite dishes now :) I took a few pics...

... Before

... After (mmmm...)

Plated :)

Dustin even liked it - which made it a good cook :)
